Chestysoft Privacy Policy

We have published this privacy policy to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations which apply in the United Kingdom from 25th May 2018. This is intended to clarify the personal data that we collect and the reasons for doing so.

The data falls into three categories. There is data collected from web site in the form of a server log, data collected from correspondence and data collected during the sale of our products.

Web Site Logs

We collect the IP address, device, browser details and referring URL from website visitors. This is for traffic monitoring purposes. The data is not passed to a third party and historic logs are deleted periodically.

Correspondence

We keep copies of correspondence and this may include names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers. This data is kept in case we need to refer to any previous correspondence. It is stored offline.

Product Sales

Personal data is collected during the purchase process. This may include names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers. This data is required for taxation and accounting purposes and also to verify entitlement to support or product upgrades. We do not pass this data to third parties and we no longer send out our own marketing emails. Sales data is stored offline.

Note that credit card details are collected by one of our payment providers, WorldPay Ltd or PayPal, and we do not see or keep them.
