Demo of Automatic Document Feeder use with csXImage in Visual Basic

The ActiveX control csXImage includes a range of functions to acquire images from TWAIN compliant devices such as scanners and webcams. This includes the possibility to import multiple images from a scanner using an automatic document feeder (ADF).

This functionality is demonstrated with this simple VB application. The application is a single form which includes an instance of csXImage. When the project is run and the form fMain is loaded, a number of options are available to the user to select the number of images, how they are to be saved and whether the default interface is to be used. On clicking the Acquire button, the user can then select a TWAIN device. The images are then scanned.

This also demonstrates the use of csXImage to build a multi-page TIFF file from the individual pages received from the scanner.

This demo is available in two versions: one for use with Visual Basic 5 or 6, the other for use with Visual Basic.NET. The appropriate version can be downloaded from the links below.
